Join artist Blair Hobbs for a creative exploration of poetry and mixed media art through writing, collage, texture, and visual storytelling. Participants will experiment with combining words and imagery in an inspiring, hands-on workshop environment.

This course welcomes writers, artists, and creatives of all skill levels. No prior poetry or visual art experience is necessary—just a willingness to explore and create.

Workshop Details:

• Dates: June 22 - June 26, 2026
• Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Break: 12:00–1:00 PM)
• Location: The University of Mississippi Museum
• Capacity: Limited to 15 participants
• Cost: $275 for Museum Members // $300 for Future Members

What to Bring:

• Notebook or journal
• Optional: personal collage materials for the shared “fancy trash” buffet (e.g., fabric scraps, sequins, tape, etc.)

Materials Provided by UM Museum: canvas, paints, brushes, glue, drawing pens, and general mixed-media supplies

Additional Notes: Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch. A midday break will be provided each day.
