AI products are everywhere and the rules on if and when to use them depend on many factors. It can be difficult to know where AI can really fit in the research process. This presentation will demonstrate real-life examples of how AI can be used as a tool for graduate researchers. This includes keeping organized, help with studying, and be a starting point for finding reliable information. Participant will learn why some AI models are better suited for research and know what to look for when critically evaluating a new AI tool before using. Platforms reviewed: NotebookLM, Perplexity, Semantic Scholar, Goblin.tools, Rayyan.a
