To celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the Department of Physics and Astronomy is hosting a Quantum Book Club every Thursday at 4:00 pm in Lewis 104 this spring semester. Did you know that the great scientist Max Planck started his quantum mechanical journey while working on a design for an efficient light bulb? Learn about the people and places that played a role in the development of quantum mechanics through reading and discussing the book Thirty Years That Shook Physics. No physics knowledge is required.
