Physical space is easy to overlook when we plan lessons, but something as simple as the arrangement of tables and chairs can influence student learning. How can classroom spaces inform our teaching? Join us for a tour of classrooms in the new Duff Center for Science and Technology Innovation (CSTI) building. We will begin in a traditional lecture hall and then explore a variety of classroom spaces, introducing (and modeling) active learning techniques suitable for each one.

Participants should be prepared to move between classrooms on three different floors of the building.
