October is Biosafety and Biosecurity Month! This is the American Biological Safety Association’s (ABSA) 12th year to celebrate Biosafety and Biosecurity Month. However, this is the University of Mississippi’s first year to celebrate with a contest.  Our goal is to promote awareness and shine a spotlight on training ideas, stewardship, engagement, and foster positive relationships within the research community, while supporting responsible and ethical research through our profession.

For our inaugural year, the IBC is hosting a contest that encourages labs or individuals to design and submit an original* entry promoting safe lab practices, raising awareness, or sharing important biosafety messages.
